Friday
Not much to report

I could almost shout about an updated images engine, but it’s not tested

The option to rotate a set of image variations used in a ‘srcset’ is rather good now. I’m putting the relatively new ‘image variations’ db table to good use - like adding a version to the image call to force a fresh version to be loaded after an updated. Without ‘cache-busting’ it can be difficult to be sure if changes to an image have actually happened.

Another issue with rotating images is using the image width as the key metric. When an image is square, you can open it, rotate and save it. When it’s not, you need to open the ‘master’ image, rotate it then scale it to match the desired with.

Why am I writing about this? It’s Friday evening.
